Escape. Slow down. Reconnect beneath the olive trees.
Welcome to Alora Yurts, our little slice of Andalusian magic tucked away among ancient olive groves just outside the spa town of Lanjarón. Over the years, we’ve made camp in many beautiful places, always chasing the dream of creating a space to rest, recharge, and simply be. Here on our small off-grid olive farm, that dream has found its home.
About the place: At Alora Yurts, life moves at the pace of the sun. Wake to birdsong and breakfast delivered to your door, spend the day exploring mountain trails or lounging by the pool, and fall asleep under a sky filled with stars.
Our story beneath the olive trees
Hola — we’re Sara and Darren, the people (and dog lovers!) behind Alora Yurts. For years, we travelled, camped, and created little escapes in beautiful corners of Spain, always dreaming of finding the perfect place to settle — somewhere off-grid, surrounded by nature, and filled with good energy.
That dream led us here, to a small olive farm nestled among the tallest trees in the valley, just outside Lanjarón, the gateway to the Alpujarras. It’s peaceful, a little wild, and full of the kind of beauty that slows time down.
Our philosophy
We believe in keeping things small, personal, and full of heart. Each yurt and casita has been hand-furnished with pieces we’ve collected on our travels. We live here, care for the land, and do our best to tread lightly — using solar power, composting loos, and local ingredients whenever we can.
Our Accommodation
Choose from our two hand-painted Mongolian yurts, each with its own charm and privacy, our cozy adobe casita, or our unique treehouse-style Lovers Loft.
