Alora Yurts

Hola, we are Alora Yurts. Over the years, we have set up camp in several magical places.

Our aim has always been to create a relaxing escape from the stresses and strains of everyday life, somewhere that we ourselves would love to stay.

We believe we have now found our permanent beautiful off-grid location. The small olive farm that we now call home is nestled among the tallest olive trees in the area, just outside the wonderful spa town of Lanjarón.

There, you will find the quaintness of traditional Spanish life with the added benefit of shops, bars, and restaurants for everyone's taste.

Lanjarón has amazing walks, horse riding, and mountain biking, as well as being 30 mins to either the beautiful city of Granada or the coast.

Just a short car journey takes you up into the Alpujarras and its beautiful whitewashed villages, such as Capileira and Pampaneira, which has a beautiful melted snow waterfall that runs all year round. Perfect to cool off on those hot summer months.

After a few days of resting or walking in the beautiful hills, visiting nearby Granada, the coast, or simply lazing by the pool with a book and stroking one of our rescue dogs, we feel you will leave refreshed and recharged.

Our accommodation now consists of two beautiful hand-painted Mongolian Yurts and a lovely adobe casita for the less adventurous camper. All three units are individually furnished with an eclectic mix of delights from around the globe. All three have lush comfy beds, wood burners for those cooler evenings, and are completely candlelit, very romantic.

All being well, in early 2024, we will be opening the Nest, a treehouse-like structure nestled in the olive and poplar trees in the Barranco. Pictures and information to follow.

Yurt Lola, which has now had a revamp and is situated in its own little dingly dell with an outside seating area and hammock with lovely shady cover provided by the ancient olive trees. It has a compost loo and washbasin and shares the shower with the other yurt.

Yurt Pomegranate has now also undergone a facelift ,and is now nestled in the sheltered barranco under giant olive trees. It also has an outside bed for stargazing and private seating area, It has a compost loo and washbasin and shares the shower with the other yurt.

The site has a lovely pool area with four poster beds, outdoor dining area and several chill out areas. Perfect for a romantic break, retreat with a friend , a solo visit or the whole site can be booked for smaller groups. We have an outdoor kitchen area if you would like to self cater and as always we offer a fully catered option and honesty bar.
